A connected digital marketing programme for Kshemavana, bringing social storytelling, influencer partnerships and search together to grow awareness of its wellness retreat.

The Project
Where wellness meets digital storytelling.
Kshemavana is a wellness and naturopathy retreat centre near Bengaluru — a rejuvenation centre where guests stay to immerse themselves in a healing programme. A place like this is hard to show on a screen: before anyone enquires or visits, they need to feel the atmosphere, understand the activities and trust the philosophy behind it.
The work documented here is the marketing that carried that experience online: social media strategy and content, influencer collaboration, an on-location photoshoot, and search optimisation and advertising. It was not a website redesign.
- Land
- 20 acres
- Location
- Nelamangala, near Bangalore
- Capacity

- Stays

As described in the original case study. The current official website, kshemavana.com, describes a 23-acre sanctuary and presents five wellness pillars — Aahar, Dipan, Nidra, Smriti and Urja. Those belong to Kshemavana; Ruckus did not create them.

Reported results February 2023 – January 2024
The reporting window is the span of the figures in the original case study, not a statement of the contract length.
The challenge
Six problems shaped the campaign. Together they describe a brand with a strong offer and an uneven online voice: hard to recognise, thin on visuals and not yet reaching enough people.
These are the challenges stated in the original case study, not findings from a new audit.
- 01Inconsistent branding across social media platforms
- 02An inconsistent content strategy
- 03Limited visual content on the platforms
- 04A limited number of followers
- 05Lack of paid promotion
- 06Inefficient engagement on posts
The approach
The services were designed to work as one system: consistent, informative content gives people a reason to follow, reach brings new people to it, and search catches those who go looking.

01
Brand consistency
A recognisable, cohesive visual identity across social media content.

02
Content and storytelling
Lifestyle-led creatives, informative wellness posts, testimonials and seasonal communication — different ways in to the same brand.

03
Reach and amplification
Influencer marketing and targeted advertising to extend exposure beyond the existing audience.

04
Search visibility
SEO and SEM activity to improve discoverability and attract relevant, targeted traffic.
Chapter 01 · Lifestyle-led creative
Rather than leading with treatments, the creative leads with small, repeatable moments — an affirmation, a breakfast bowl, a habit, a pose. The feed becomes a gentle preview of the lifestyle the retreat is built around.

A positive affirmation — a short, calm message designed to be saved and shared.
A basil breakfast bowl recipe — the food side of wellness, made practical.
Five habits to kick-start the New Year — yoga, a nature walk, Surya Namaskar, affirmations and breathing exercises.

A lifestyle video still on the terrace — atmosphere first, little copy.
A yoga explainer — Supta Baddha Konasana, shown as a simple, followable pose.
A doctor-led video on common mental disorders — an example of informative content, not evidence for any treatment.
Chapter 02 · Testimonials and trust
A retreat asks people to take a leap of trust. Testimonial creatives put a human voice next to the brand’s own, so a prospective guest hears from someone who has already been.

Mallika, from Bangalore — a guest introduction in her own words.
Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi — introduced by the creative as a testament to the retreat’s transformative power.
Mrs. Priya Khanna — a guest video recorded in front of the Kshemavana logo.
The creatives are shown exactly as published. They are guest experiences, not independently verified outcomes.
Chapter 03 · Seasonal and greeting creatives
Keeping the brand present through meaningful moments.
Occasion-based posts are a separate content category: they give the brand a reason to appear on days when people are already looking, in a tone that stays calm and wellness-minded.

Chapter 04 · Influencer marketing
Influencers in the wellness and lifestyle niches were selected for resonating with Kshemavana’s values and audience, and one was invited to experience the retreat first-hand. During the stay they created content covering daily routines, wellness practices and the serene environment of the retreat.

The source gives no audience size, reach, engagement rate, cost or lead figures, so none are shown. The creator’s profile details are left out.
Chapter 05 · Location photoshoot
A comprehensive photoshoot at the retreat gave potential guests something a description cannot: a virtual tour of the facilities. Professional photographs were then used across social media to add appeal and credibility.
- 01The landscapeThe images showcased the serene landscape of the property.
- 02Wellness therapiesThey showed the therapies at the heart of the retreat.
- 03Overall ambianceThey captured the atmosphere of being there.

The original case study describes the shoot but does not include its photo set. These are property images that appear elsewhere in it, shown here for context rather than as the shoot’s output.
Chapter 06 · SEO strategy
Building discoverability beyond the social feed.
Social content creates interest; search catches intent. Four groups of activity, as described in the original case study, aimed to make Kshemavana easier to find for people already looking.
- On-page optimisation
- Keyword research, with relevant keywords integrated into website content and meta tags, aligned with user search intent.
- Content marketing
- Engaging, informative content for the target audience: blog posts, articles and guides on naturopathy, wellness tips and lifestyle recommendations.
- Local SEO
- Refining Google My Business profiles, enhancing local directory listings and securing citations to improve local search rankings.
- Technical SEO
- Optimising site speed, ensuring mobile responsiveness and implementing schema markup to give search engines structured data.
These are historical activities from the original case study. They do not describe the current kshemavana.com.
